On September 9th, at 10 a.m. local time, Apple Inc. will hold its most important Apple event of the year at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. During this event, the company will reveal its latest iPhones and introduce a new artificial intelligence platform.
The timing of this event is out of the ordinary for Apple, but it allows the company to avoid a hectic Tuesday, which includes a US presidential debate and the European Commission’s decision on whether Apple owes $14 billion in taxes related to its agreement with Ireland.
The main highlight of the product announcements will be the iPhone 16 series, while significant updates are also expected for the Apple Watch and AirPods. A new suite of AI tools, including an enhanced Siri digital assistant, called Apple Intelligence, will also take center stage at the Apple event. The Apple event theme, “It’s Glowtime,” alludes to the new interface of Siri.
Apple is under pressure to demonstrate its significant presence in the field of generative artificial intelligence to consumers and investors. However, the company’s AI technology is still a work in progress, experiencing several delays with many key features set for release next year. Currently, the technology is primarily focused on summarizing messages and notifications rather than offering the interactive features seen in competing systems.
Nevertheless, the updates of Apple event announced on Monday will inject new vitality into Apple’s core products, which contribute to approximately 60% of the company’s annual revenue and drive consumer spending on services, a crucial source of sales. Given Apple’s recent sales slump, the financial boost is much needed as the company begins to emerge from one of its longest-lasting sales declines in decades.
Here’s a glimps of tomorrow’s Apple Event
iphone
Apple has a plan to release 4 new iPhone models, including the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max, aligning with its past year Apple event strategy.
As with the previous year, the non-Pro iPhones will see minimal changes. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will retain the design of the previous models, keeping their 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes and aluminum casings. They will receive upgrades to their processors and memory, 8 GB of memory to support Apple Intelligence and other functionalities.
The lower-end phones will be equipped with the same Action button featured on the Pro models, along with vertically stacked rear cameras to support spatial video recording, which can be viewed with Apple’s Vision Pro headsets.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will keep the design of the iPhone 15 Pro line, with the primary change being the displays. The screen sizes will increase to 6.3 inches for the smaller model and 6.9 inches for the Max version, with slimmer bezels for a sleeker overall look.
Similar to the iPhone 15 Pro line, the 16 Pro models will include 8 gigabytes of memory and speedier chips with an optimized neural engine for AI.
Both iPhone 16 Pro models will receive camera upgrades, such as a shift to a 48-megapixel lens for the ultrawide-angle camera. Additionally, the smaller iPhone 16 Pro will gain 5x optical zoom on the telephoto lens to match the Max version.
A notable camera enhancement for both models will be the addition of a touch-sensitive button on the right side of the phone for taking photos and videos. This button will function similarly to a DSLR camera shutter button, providing users with the ability to focus and capture images with varying pressure.
While the physical design of the phones remains largely unchanged from last year, Apple will introduce new color options. The Pro models will feature a gold titanium color option, replacing the blue titanium, while retaining the black, white, and natural color choices. The non-Pro versions will replace yellow with white and introduce new shades of green, pink, and blue.

Apple Airpods
Apple is preparing two new AirPods models to replace the entry-position, alternate-generation earbuds and mid-tier, third-generation model. Both new performances will look analogous to the AirPods Pro and include a new case, USB-C charging, and better audio quality.
Apple will distinguish the two models by giving the newmid-tier interpretation a advanced- end case with a speaker- making it easier to detect with Apple’s Find My point as well as noise cancellation to match the AirPods Pro.
Many weeks ago, Apple discovered a bug in the forthcoming AirPods that made the earbuds snappily drain battery life. This issue was determined to be software-related and resolved previous to manufacturers dispatching out the products.
One major new point is a bigger drive into hail health. Apple has been working to turn the AirPods into a relief for hearing aids as well as a device for conducting hail tests.
The company is preparing to advertise the advancements- codenamed Yodel- but they have suffered some detainments and may not be available until later.
A new interpretation of the AirPods Pro remains in the workshop, including an upgraded design and bettered noise cancellation. It’s due as early as coming time.
And Apple has been working on streamlined AirPods Max headphones that will come in new colors and switch the Lightning connector to USB-C to misbehave with the rearmost laws from the European Union. But there is still a plenitude of current AirPods Max force on hand, suggesting that the update could be coming latterly.
Apple Watch
The company is getting ready to update all of its Apple Watch models simultaneously for the first time in two years. The update will include a new entry-level Apple Watch SE, a mid-range Series 10 model, and an Ultra 3.
The Apple Watch Ultra will receive only minor adjustments, focusing on internal upgrades rather than external changes.
The most significant update to the Apple Watch line will be seen with the Series 10 model, commemorating the product’s ten-year anniversary since its introduction in 2014. For the first time since the Series 7, the flagship Apple Watch model will undergo a refreshed appearance.
The overall design will resemble that of the Apple Watch Series 9, but the company will now offer slightly larger screen-size options, and the watch case itself will be noticeably slimmer.
While new AI features are in the works for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the watches are not expected to receive extensive Apple Intelligence capabilities. Any AI technology will likely be linked specifically to a future health coach service.
At the beginning of the year, Apple had to remove blood-oxygen sensing from new watches due to a lawsuit with Masimo Corp. over patents. There is no indication that the feature will return in time for the latest models, which may impact users’ decisions to upgrade their existing watches to versions lacking this function.
A significant new health feature is on the way: sleep apnea detection, which will expand on the existing sleep tracking. This feature will try to determine if a wearer has sleep apnea and then recommend further testing with a medical professional. While Apple has been preparing to announce it, this enhancement may not be available on day one when the new model goes on sale.
On the other hand, although Apple had intended to introduce hypertension – or high blood pressure – detection to the Apple Watch this year, indications suggest that this feature is delayed and may no longer be part of immediate release plans.
